Consider the following scenario:
- You use a computer that is running Windows Vista Ultimate or Windows Vista Home Premium.
- The system is configured to use a digital cable tuner.
- You watch Live TV in Windows Media Center.
- You put the computer into hibernation or into sleep, and then you resume the computer.
In this scenario, Windows Media Center may stop responding (hang). Or, Windows Media Center cannot find the OpenCable Unidirectional Cable Receiver (OCUR) tuner. In some scenarios, you can watch TV again if you press the Live TV button several times. In other scenarios, you must restart the computer to watch TV.

Consider the following scenario:
- You create a managed service that uses the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
- You run the managed service on a computer that is running the .NET Framework 2.0.
In this scenario, the managed service is not stopped in a timely manner on the computer when the operating system shuts down. Therefore, you may experience delays when the operating system shuts down.
ITsVISTA KB-Link: KB941890
Consider the following scenario:
- You are running a Windows Vista-based computer.
- You use Windows Internet Explorer to access files on a Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) site that resides on a local intranet site.
Note: A Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server site is an example of a WebDAV site.
In this scenario, you receive a dialog box that prompts you to enter your user credentials.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- You do not configure any proxy-server settings in Internet Explorer.
- You access the WebDAV site on the local intranet site by using a single label host name, such as sites/ or mysps/.
This problem does not occur on a Windows XP-based computer that has Internet Explorer 6 or Internet Explorer 7 installed.

ITsVISTA KB-Link: KB943112
Consider the following scenario. You develop an application that hosts the WebBrowser control. Then, you move to a link in the WebBrowser control. In this scenario, you expect the BeforeNavigate2 event to be triggered before the target page is loaded. However, when you run this application on a Windows Vista-based computer, the BeforeNavigate2 event is not triggered when you move to a non-standard link.
Note: A non-standard link refers to a link that has special characters and whose URL does not start with http, with https, with ftp, or with other known protocols.
For example, the HREF tag of the link in question is one of the following:
<a href="<ABCD>"><a href= "/?scid=abcd%7cab12ab3l">
Therefore, the BeforeNavigate2 event cannot be used in the application.
Note: This issue does not occur in Windows XP or in Windows Server 2003.
ITsVISTA KB-Link: KB942970
Consider the following scenario:
- In a version of a Microsoft operating system that is earlier than Windows Vista, you create two users, User A and User B.
- You add the two users to the local Administrators group.
- You use the User A account to log on to the computer, and then you create a new folder. For example, you create Folder F. Then, you add files or subfolders to Folder F.
- You grant Read access to Folder F only to the User A account.
- You log off the computer, and then you use the User B account to log on to the computer.
- You upgrade the computer to Windows Vista.
- You use the User A account to log on to the computer.
In this scenario, the User A account no longer has Read access to Folder F.
