When you try to install updates by using the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site, you may receive the following error message:

0×80070422

Consider the following scenario on a Windows Vista-based or Windows Server 2008-based computer:

• You configure the computer to generate a complete memory dump file when the system crashes.
• You use the DedicatedDumpFile registry entry to specify the location for the dump file.

In this scenario, after the system crashes, the memory dump file may not be successfully generated. Instead, you find a file that is named dump.tmp file at the location that you specified for the dedicated dump file.

This problem occurs if both following conditions are true:

• The dedicated dump file and the system memory dump file are in the same volume.
• The free space on the volume that you specified for the dedicated dump file is less than two times the physical memory size of the computer.

When you try to install updates by using the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web site, you may receive the following error message:

0x8024002D

When you try to install updates from the Windows Update site or from Microsoft Update Web site, you may receive the following error code:

0×80246007

When you installed the Autodesk Data Management Server (ADMS) on the Microsoft Vista™ operating system, an error occurred during the pre-checks on the TestASPNetStatic.txt file.

Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) may not display tooltip text correctly if the text contains both alphabetical characters and Japanese characters.

You use dialer.exe to dial a voice phone call. You can hear the recipient of the phone call, but they cannot hear you.

A computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008 may restart unexpectedly. Additionally, you may receive the following Stop error message:

Stop 0×00000050 (parameter1, 00000000, parameter3, 00000000)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Notes

• The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
• Not all “0×00000050″ Stop error messages are caused by this problem.

This problem may occur if the computer uses some OpenType fonts that are provided by printer drivers.
